Page Title and Heading1 all the same.

Hi all, hoping someone can help me with a problem that i'm still unable to figure out.
I seem to have the same title & heading on all pages apart from product pages. For example, the home page has Catalogue Request above the travel systems image and the title is Catalogues Request: Pushchairs........

This is the same for the My Account, Delivery and Returns, Contact Us, Site Map along with the Checkout Pages.

I have commented out the following line in tpl_page_default.php
<h1 id="ezPagesHeading"><?php echo $var_pageDetails->fields['pages_title']; </h1>
but the heading is still there.

Is there anyone who can see what i've done wrong, I just can't see the wood for the trees now...

Hello just wondered if anyone has any idea how to fix this?

I have worked out how to change the page titles that show in browser by editing meta_tag.php, but page Headings are still coming up as Catalogue Request.

Somehow, you've changed all the heading_title defines to 'Catalogue Request'.

You'll have to use the Developers Tool Kit in Admin - Tools to search for 'Catalogue Request' and find where those are defined and change them.

For example, for 'Contact Us' it's defined in includes/languages/english/contact_us.php

You more than likely have some language define files in your languages, extra definitions folder.

I've found this to be quite a common cause for this.

Here's the folder to look in for misplaced files:

includes/languages/english/extra_definitions
or
includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/YOUR_ACTIVE_TEMPLATE
