Add Category Dropdown to Search Sidebox

I would like to add a "Category Dropdown" to the search sidebox, so that the search is only peformed within a certain category.

You can see what I'm talking about by checking out BestBuy's website - in the header: http://www.bestbuy.com/
EXCEPT, I would like to add this to the sidebox search, not the header.

I'm guessing that this can be done by adding some code to the file /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_search.php.

Here's the code for that file, can someone tell me what to add/change?
