PDF Downloads

I have placed downloads into the Download file, and created a link both in my product description and in the URL for this product, but when I try to use the link from the Zen Cart I get a 404 page not found error., if I try to get to it directly from my address bar it opens fine.

How do I change the settings to allow pdf downloads?

Let me clarify that again - actually I have tested the link to a file outside of my zen cart files and it works fine, but the link to the 'download' files inside the zen cart files prompts for a user name and password - which my clients will not have of course. How can I change the settings to allow access for logged in clients?

/download folder is protected by zencart for users selling digital zipped products
Create new folder i.e. /downloads2...upload your pdf files there, then change link to reflect this.
