My client is claiming that Authorize.net won't allow Zen Cart to be used with them and that they want her to pay an annual fee for compliance and compliance testing.
One of authorize.net's employees had replied to her via e-mail that "Zen Cart is not PCI Compliant, so we cannot work with them. There are many PCI Compliant shopping cart providers. I have attached the updated list, direct from Visa and MasterCard's web site"
I can't imagine there aren't people using ZC with authorize.net, i mean thats not true right?
I suggested to my client the SIM or Offsite method you discussed several posts back, because that sounds ideal. No pci compliance issues, right? Can they try to charge you money for pci compliance reviews when you are absolved of responsibility by using the offsite method?
Building the online store was easy but my client is scared of the pci compliance responsibilities, and before that it was the potential chargebacks. Her previous processor, EFSnet, she says stopped providing their service. Any suggestions? she's talked to linkpoint and authorize.net and didnt like paypal, the solution she wanted to use when she had me build the store, because of no chargeback protection.
Thanks for any input.
The web host is Network Solutions, she does not yet have an SSL cert, version number is 1.3.8, all payment modules unaltered, and site is www.anothertimevintageapparel.com/cart/
