HI, I am being faced with moving my entire cart to another server ISP. New one in England. Is there a quick tutorial of the easiest way to do this? What settings I have to be sure not to miss?
Thanks so much.

In the Tutorials/FAQ are nice instructions for changing servers.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.
Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
I followed the instructions here:
https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100
and my transition went very smoothly. I did, however, practice a couple of times moving the site to different domain names just to make sure I knew the process and to make sure everything worked right.

Ok I am getting ready to move this. One question . Will both carts, old server and new server remain active until I turn one off? I am getting product links from the Zen Cart and inserting them into a links on another site so this will take a little time. I didn't know if I could keep the old one active until I am through with the relinking.
thanks
I have just done this too, however I have found that a few directories/files have had their permissions changed in the move which has resulted in problems when trying to list items and using define pages editor.
For example when trying to make changes to the main page I get the following error:
Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: ...../store/includes/languages/english/html_includes/your_template/define_main_page.php
I got a similar error when trying to add products.
These errors are all that I have found so far and don't know what happened but does anybody know of this and are there any more directories/Files which may need to have their permissions changed as a result of migrating to a new server?
Cheers
Rob
if elephants could fly, I'd be a little more optimistic....
try to set up file permission to 777; after modify, return to 644
