centerColumn background color

Hello All,

I can't seem to figure out how to make the center column continue the background color to fit the entire height of this new site I'm working on...

If I get what you want - - rethink this and think of it as in layers

make your mainwrapper the light color and the left & right the red color as these are on top of the main background & others as required
