I think I was hacked, now site does not work.. any sugg?
Hi,
I am pretty sure I was hacked, thank god it was not a customer site, this was before cpanel was upgraded. I have attempted to fix this site, but I cant get into the admin area at all and when looking at the site all looks fine except if you go to any of the categories or items to enlarge I get this error message
1054 Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'
I tried to upgrade zen cart to the latest version but the home page would not show up and the data patch was not current, so my host and myself used a backup and put zen cart back to before the upgrade.
I am thinking of doing a new install to zen cart, would naturally rather have the upgrade work., for now I would like this site to work and get into the admin area.
I even went into the db to edit the pwd for admin, but that did not work, not sure if I was in the right place though.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

"1054 Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'"
That's a classic symptom of using Zen Cart v1.2.x on PHP 5 and/or MySQL 5.
You'll need to use Zen Cart v1.3.7 or newer if you want to get rid of those errors on a server using MySQL 5.

Hi,
Well as mentioned, I performed the upgrade via fantastico and the site did not come up at all, and I recieved the database patch error.
Hense I put it back to the old version.
I guess my only option is to do a new install with the latest version again (I did that already but could not get the db to be read, none of the data came in)

Using fantastico to upgrade was your first mistake. It *always* busts things.
You'll find full upgrade instructions in the /docs/ folder of your Zen Cart files, as well as in the FAQ area. Here's a starting point with references to other pieces you may find useful: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=98 (I got the link just by searching for "upgrade").

Hi,
How about me just doing a new install into another directory say... /store.
How do I get my backed up db from the old zen cart version to come it, or is that not possible?
thanks

Part of the upgrade process includes an upgrade to the database. Importing your old database into a new/test site is part of the upgrade instructions.
