Attributes issues help PLEASE!!

Ok a few days ago I added attributes to my items. And ever since I did that, I have noticed that the orders that have the attributes attached to them are not recording the information in the backend admin area with the payment that is made (product and model number) and it is not subtracting from the inventory count and I am not getting a order confirmation. But yet the one's that don't have attributes attached I get that information on what they ordered just fine and the order is subtracted from the inventory count. Why is this?

It is my understanding the standard issue ZenCart will not track inventory by attributes.

There is a Stock by Attributes module availabe in the Free Software Add Ons above that will do what you want.

How did you add the attributes to your items. With a mod or in the attributes controller.

There is a Stock by Attributes Add-On as Tina said but, I think your problem is somewhere else in the construction of your attributes.

I have the inventory attributes stock I installed this thinking that is why the paypal credit card and paypal funds payments was not coming through so I installed that and tonight I got in 4 payments 2 orders no attribute items and those products and model numbers came in just fine than the ones who purchased items will attributes no product or model numbers came in even with the attributes stock added on.

I even did a test with a check/money order and the product and the model number along with the attribute came through just fine. I am thinking it is something with paypal but I have already called paypal and they said it was a third party issue not a paypal issue.

I uninstalled the IPN and PDT token and reinstalled them to see if that was the problem and I am having the same issue. Is there a command in one of the files I need to change or something for paypal IPN to accept the attribute information?

I did the attributes right from the admin area in attributes controller. I have only been using zencart for exactly a month now.

How can it be something with how I did the attributes if I do a check or money order check out it comes through just fine all information.

You're saying the the attributes are not in the admin orders section or not in the email from paypal or both?

Ok the payments without attributes

I get the new order email from my website all information (product and model number come through) payment email comes through

Ok payments with attributes

I don't get the new order email from my website, I get no information except for the total and shipping. So I get no product, and no model number. This is with paypal checkout may it be with their funds or credit card. But I do get the paypal payment email


What I did was a test to see what was going on I enable check/money order which i don't use.

I got the new order email,and all the information including what attribute I purchased.

I am just confused on why it would be with just the attribute items going to paypal?

The reason I am asking whether or not the information shows correctly under Customers >> Orders in the admin control panel is to attempt to isolate whether the problem is with something in the cart or paypal or your paypal settings.

IF you are receiving a correct listing in the admin, it's not the cart's fault.

orders with the attributes I get no information (product, model number, what they ordered, and even the inventory does not move down,and no new order email either.)

but the ones with no attributes everything comes in normal like it should.
