My guess is that it's written for 1.3.7 and i'm running 1.3.8.

As mentioned at download page, actually written for
ZenCart v 1.35....hopefully zencart coder may help you
out with conversion.

I recently installed this mod on 1.3.8 and it works just fine.

Yeah it works fine on 1.3.8a. I suspect the OP forgot to turn the sidebox on in the Layout Boxes Controller.

I tried it but it doesn't show any variables in admin and there isn't any way to add them in admin (like maximum number to display). Has anyone figured out how to make that work or found another contribution that works? The author of this one doesn't appear to be supporting it at all.
