Default I can't believe paypal offer such a horrible service in Australia, API signature prob

Just hand off a call with paypal

I have a verified business account and want to set up the PAYPAL Express Checkout. But I have no API signature...I searched on this forum, saw a post stated that we should call paypal and paypal will reset something on our a/c to get the 56-character API signature code. So I called PAYPAL 1800 number...

The customer service knowing nothing about their products and asked me to spell 5 times for my short 4 numbers length domain.... then said to me:"I couldn't understand the way you speaking..."make me feel that I am a fool...

Does paypal re-located their customer service to overseas?
I just couldn't understand her English, very very hard to communication.

And she only give me a web link..paypal.com/mps, ask me to find a solution by myself. I visit that link...it's actually a US's site..so I ask do I have to call USA or email? Why there is no department to support the API related question in Australia.....No matter what's I said, she just keep saying that what her supervisor told her...

After a long talk my problem remains unsolved...so I decided to ask here..
So all Australian paypal customers have to call USA PAYPAL to get the API signature?????I feel so unbelievable...

I can't answer your questions about Australian support. However, I do know that if you log a technical inquiry at www.paypal.com/mts and tell them that you're needing to get your API signature codes (even if that means changing from "certificate" mode), then someone who has the knowledge to address the matter will respond.

Thank you so much DrByte , so it's papal.com/mts, but papl.com/mps..... I already submit the service ticket, waiting for their response.

PayPal does have a customer-service center operated out of the Philipines. I'm not sure if another call might get you to a different call center instead?

As to the Support URL, going to www.paypal.com/mts takes you directly to logging a ticket. The /mps URL takes you someplace else, making you have to click through a few links to get to logging support tickets.

Nevertheless, if you've logged a ticket, I suspect you'll have a response soon.

DrByte, Thank you for that~!I got the API signatures this morning :) ..but I got other problems while I try to test it.

Firstly, I use PAYPAL Express as the sole payment method, but there is no "pay without a paypal account"function...ppl have to open a paypal a/c to pay
I research the paypal.com and zen cart admin area but couldn't find the related setting...

Secondly, if I do a test transaction, how much I should pay paypal for the transaction fee?0.3?
I know there is a sand box method for testing, but it seems so inconvenience.

Last, when I use a custom temple, I was unable to log in as a customer in the store... I did a research on this forum, and found a tutorial related to my problem ""There was a security error when trying to login"" on https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=312

But after read that I still don't know how to fix it.Should I insert some codes or php files to my custom template folder or not..

Any help could be really appreciate, Thanks~!

    Update:
I found the "checkout without paypal account"function...but it seems so small~! As the picture shows ... People may never notice that .... They may think they need to register another a/c and just leave...

Did I missed anything?or this is how it looks like?@@~

And there is no PAPAL CHECKOUT Express next to the Checkout button..as the picture shows I am using paypal as the sole method, and how can I tell customers they can pay without a paypal a/c??Can I change the text shows beside to the paypal button?

Sorry for so many questions...but I really didn't get it..

    1. PayPal Express Checkout requires that the customer have or create a PayPal account. If you don't like that, log your complaint with PayPal Product Development.

    2. A test transaction will be subject to whatever service charges your account incurs. If you refund the transaction via your PayPal account console, the fees are refunded as well. PayPal Customer Service can confirm those specific details for you.

Hi, Thank you for your reply.
1 But I do see a option in the checkout page called "Don't have a PayPal account? No problem, continue checkout."(as the screenshot shows above), when I click it, it shows a credit card information page"Pay with Credit Card or Log In". I thought that's the "pay without a paypal account" function.....and you said "PayPal Express Checkout requires that the customer have or create a PayPal account. " ...I am really confused now...
Is it means I am not using PayPal Express Checkout now?But I only use the default payment method in Zen Cart called "PayPal Express Checkout"

2 So the test transaction won't occur any fees. Thanks

You'll probably find that you must create a username and password after filling in the CC information.
Nevertheless, I don't understand why you're "worried" about it.
If you don't like the way the interface looks or works, then you need to take those concerns directly to PayPal, as only they can change it.
