Default Form Armor Module Support Thread

    Hi everyone,

This is Larissa from Form Armor.

I wanted to let you know that (thanks to the dedicated Zen Cart Team) we just released the Form Armor Module for Zen Cart -- to protect your Contact forms and Tell-a-Friend forms against spam and abusive submissions.

Form Armor is a hosted service that creates an invisible anti-spam shield for Web site forms -- and that doesn't require your customers to solve CAPTCHA images, math problems, trivia questions or other user puzzles. (In case you aren't familiar with the term, CAPTCHA refers to the squiggly words and letters that you sometimes have to identify before submitting a form.)

The Form Armor Module for Zen Cart integrates easily with the Contact form and Tell-a-Friend form in your Zen Cart shop, and provides an Admin menu option to manage form spam submissions.

Form Armor is a paid subscription service that's available to Zen Cart users at a discounted rate of $9 per month. When you subscribe and use the Module for Zen Cart, a portion of your monthly fee goes straight back to support the Zen Cart project.

You can download the Form Armor Module for Zen Cart at:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1202

You can also learn more about the Form Armor service and set up an account at:
    https://www.formarmor.com/zencart/

Questions? Let me know and I'll be glad to help!

P.S. Form Armor also has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you set up an account, then decide Form Armor isn't right for you, just let us know within your first 30 days and we'll refund your subscription fee right away. (No questions. No hassle.)

Sounds great, but it appears that the fee is $9 per site, or is one account usable over multiple sites?

Yes, the fee is $9 per site and that protects both the Contact form and Tell-a-Friend form.

If you have a large number of sites, send me a PM or a support request via https://www.formarmor.com/zencart/ and let's talk. We often provide discounts to developers and designers who manage multiple sites, and would be glad to discuss that with you.

What about a 30-day trial period - where you chaps send a report to the trial user detailing all the spam you've blocked during the trial.

In this way, we can see if it's value for money, and in all likelihood, take up the paid subscription.

I think this is a very valuable service and I will suggest it to my bigger clients... but many Zenners are "garden-shed retailers" who may find even $9 a bit steep!

(I hasten to add, I'm not one of them! )

Right now we don't offer a free trial [EDIT: WE DO NOW!!!] for individual accounts, but thanks for the feedback.

We do stick by our 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you try Form Armor for a month and decide for whatever reason it isn't worthwhile for your situation, just let us know and we'll refund the $9 and cancel your account right away.

Also, DrByte and the Zen Cart Team added an extra feature in the Form Armor Module that lets you choose to still receive the submissions that Form Armor identifies as spam, just with a {{Possible Spam}} flag at the beginning of the subject line. That way you can see in more detail how the service works, and after you're confident about the results, you can turn that feature off in the Admin menu (and just avoid the form spam altogether).

Default First Month Free - Form Armor for Zen Cart

Good news! I just had a great conversation with Kim at Zen Cart and (recognizing everyone's concerns about the economy these days) we've decided to extend a 30-day free trial offer of the Form Armor service to all Zen Cart shops.

The setup process is still the same and your Form Armor account will be fully functional with all of the spam-stopping features during the trial period.

Form Armor for Zen Cart blocks spam sent through your contact us and tell-a-friend forms -- without requiring security codes, CAPTCHA or any other "human" tests that might interfere with usability or conversion rates on your Web site.

You can download the free Form Armor Module for Zen Cart at http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1202

To set up your free trial and learn more, go to https://www.formarmor.com/zencart/.

Would be better if we can put it on any form want, i hope that will be possible in the future.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

We are looking at including additional forms in future module releases. Do you have specific forms in mind that you need to protect?

In the meantime, we can set up custom accounts for any individual shop or forms based on your needs. Depending on the number of forms you have, setup for custom accounts is usually just a one-time fee of $39 (and includes your first 2 months of service free), then the regular subscription for Zen Cart is $9/month (regardless of how many total forms you have).

If you'd like to talk about specific forms or spam concerns for your shop, please send me a PM or contact me through http://www.formarmor.com/contact.aspx/

    Thanks!
