1.3.7 to 1.3.8 - Only a custom design and 17 addons in the way!

Anyone got any good suggestions for updating? I have tried but it's gone wrong so many times!

There's a list of addons that the previous webmaster installed, and no documentation of any changes to the code - so it's all guesswork.

Should I just start over? And would I have to completely recode the theme?

I'd probably start over.

If you have a list of mods, you should be able to download them and install them on the new site. You may also find you don't really need some of them, anyway.

If the previous guy used the override system properly, you can just download the files in each his custom folders and insert them into the new custom folder.
