Product Listing Buy Now Button

I have somehow managed to turn off the buy now button on the products listing page. I have played around with configuration>product listing>Display Add to Cart button etc but no joy!!

Anyone??

OK so the button is turned on - but does not show up on my products because of the description length - instead it shows up as a link to more info. Is there a way to have the button showing instead of the link??

Please ignore my dumb question - it is obvious that it needs this link to get to the attributes on the info page. Would like to know if you can add attributes to main product listing though!

Display Product Add to Cart Button (0=off; 1=on; 2=on with Qty Box per Product) Set to 1
Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location Set to 0

I have a problem that I do have this button visible now but when I push the button with an amount in some products it goes to a page that says my shopping cart is empty. So, it doesn't add anything to shopping cart from product listing. If I go to individual product page and add to the shopping cart, it does work though. But I get phone calls from customers that they can't order from product listing and that means that for sure not all even call to us and we loose customers!

I tried settings 1 and 2, and the button is indeed there and the only action is to forward me to an empty shopping basket.
