Okay, we are wanting to have customers to have a unique customer referral code.

We would also need to be able to search for a customer by that referral code (and currently the search on the customer pages does not search the referral code DB field).

How can I make these two things happen? How can I force the code to be unique and how can I change the search on the admin's customer page so that it ALSO searches the customer referral field (so I can find out who the referral belongs to).

Any help would be appreciated
