Newbie installation help

Ok, i've followed the installation instructions exactly and get stuck at the initial install stage. I just get a blank page at

/Shop/zc_install/

Also if i just point my browser to /Shop/ i get a 500 internal server error.

Im using zen cart version 1.3.7

can anyone have a look at my phpinfo file and see if something needs changing?

Your host/server appears to be running suexec & phpsuexec

I did not think that the .htaccess files had any illegal calls for that environment but you can rename them removing the leading "dot" and also check the file permissions consulting your host for what is allowed with their setup

Thanks for the reply.

I renamed my .htaccess files removing the dot. Still getting a blank page. I'll fire off an email to my host about file permissions to see if there is anything they dont allow.

They are happy however to make any changes i need to get things running.

Thought i should update this.

Well half my problem seemed to be the way i uploaded the files with my ftp software, i think some of the files were corrupted due to binary-txt format during the upload process.

Anyway i talked to my host and they helped me to get the installation up and running
