Default Store Status has no effect.

My site is stuck on Showcase Only. Cant get the add to cart to show up. The store status parameter does not seem to have any effect. Any suggestions of what else may be an issue. I have done some minor modification with the menus but don't recall doing anything that would effect this function. Could this be related to some script I butchered.

Thanks a lot for any suggestions.

Can you post the url so we can look at what you've got going on?

Sure! The site url is "http://imaginetlg.com/zencart". Thanks greatly for looking into it.

I took a quick look at your site - I see 0 units in stock and no price - not sure if that is triggered by showcase only mode. If you make the qty 1 or more and add a price, does that help you out?

That does not help. I tested again with a couple of products just to make sure. The long story is that I want this site to stay as a showcase only. I am building a companion site that has the shopping cart feature enabled. So I imported the database from the first site and apparently carried across the same settings. I tried all the inventory controls and everything seems okay.

A fresh install works fine. I manually compared the admin settings. Cant see anything unusual there either.

If a fresh install works ok - why not use that? You can upload your products via EZ Populate to the new site and not have the database issues!

That is probably the right answer. I am definitely a newbie and have been hesitant to venture into EZ Populate. However, I guess the sooner the better. Thanks for looking into it. I will take the route you suggested.
