Is there a way to just show the Products and not have a category?

Is there a way to just show the Products and not have a category? There are just four products and they do not need categories.

You need a top category to hold your products, but you do not need to show the categories sidebox or header categories-tabs menu.
Turning these off in admin > Tools > Sideboxes Controller and admin > Configuration > Layout Settings will streamline your page appearance.
You do need some way to link to the products, but this could be done in different ways depending on your organizational desires. You could set
Configuration > Layout Settings >
Categories - Always Show on Main Page
and
Main Page - Opens with Category
to display the products on your home page.

Across the top I want to get rid of the categories but cannot find which one to shut off...any help?

Great! Thank you. Also I have shut off pretty much everything to remove the No Picture Available and it is still there. Any ideas or what will shut that off?

I have an option name that is Writing Styles and option values such as MLA, APA....when I chose one of them I want the definition of it to come up for each separate one when selecting it. Is there a way to have a description box below the selections and when you select one the definition pops up and changes if select another one. I have posted on other forums but no one has replied.

It would require some custom coding. I can't tell you off the top of my head how it would be done.
