Physical path is incorrect

im having a problem installing zen cart on my own machine, i have had xamp and wamp installed both seem to fail at this point, seem to make it through to the "system setup" stage and i cannot seem to get past this stage have read several posts on this but still can not seem to find what is wrong with my service.

I still keep getting Physical path is incorrect

Please help all i want to do is set up an intial server of my own for development......

Im currently running, windows vista on this laptop, but have also tried on my desktop with is multi platformed between xp and NT

I'm trying to set up on a sub domain and get this error message after running the setup files and then clicking on the link to the admin section.
The files are definately there.
