Create new categories

How to create categories for my products ? I have read something on tutorial on this, but I do not find a "new category" button in my "catalog"/"category/product" menu..
So far, all my products are on "top"category.

You can not add a category to a folder that already has products in it. Normally you would create a category first, then add your products in to it. I'm not sure how you will now go about creating a category to move your products in to without deleting them first. There is bound to be a way, at least I hope there is for your sake...

Yep... you'll have to get all your product data out of "TOP" before you can create categories.

You may be able to speed things up by copying and pasting the core product data into either a spreadsheet or on a MS Word document.

It may be possible to get your data off using the EasyPopulate module, then, adding category levels before re-uploading it to the webshop.
