help question Ok this one is a bit compllicated.... whos up for the challenge

I have searched, and haven't found the answer... so here goes........

Recently I made a booboo with a downloadable product. Forgot to add a major step in the assembly. I have had more than 100 downloads and need to notify all the customers who purchased this product to return to my site and redownload it.

However.... I can't seem to figure out how to do that with any ease. I know how many times it has been downloaded, just not by whom. Is there a way to call up orders for a specific product???

So far I can only see either going through each order one by one... that would be something around 500 orders in the last 3 weeks... find each one, copy and paste their email address into an email and send them the file... see my problem... I tried doing that, got to about # 10 and was ready to pull my eyes out.

Please tell me there is a solution to this that I am just to simple minded to find Oh and I already thought of doing a newsletter, only problem is, people who didn't purchase it, will get the newsletter and not all customers sign up for the darn thing... so they won't know.

Thank you for you time in helping me with this issue.

The Products Purchased report can be used to generate a list of orders where a given product was purchased. If you know the product number, you can enter ID:## in the appropriate field at the top of the page in order to pull up just the details for the given product ID number.

As DrByte mentioned, you can find Products on the Product Listing using the:
    ID:##

There is also the Reports ... Products Purchased ...

You could click on Quantity Sold of the Product in the Products Purchased Report to locate all customers who purchased a given product ...

Or, to find the product, there are two questions in the upper right corner for additional searches:

Search for Product(s) - Delimited by commas

    Search for Products Name/Model
