Default Product Page not loading in IE7

    Hi Everyone,

I hope someone is able to help me out. I'm not sure what happened. The site used to work with IE6 and Explorer but recently, I was told that IE7 can't load the pages.

    Zen Cart Store:
    http://www.SingaporeVault.com/store
    <<-- Main page loads okie.

    Product Page:
    http://www.singaporevault.com/store/...roducts_id=397
<<-- IE tells me it can't load and jumps to error page.

    This is the error message:
"Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site
    http://www.singaporevault.com/store/...roducts_id=397

    Operation aborted"

I really have no idea what is causing this error. Can someone please help. Thanks!

Off-hand I would say it has something to do with either your 'wordpress' bridge and/or your custom Template. First switch to Classic Template to see if your Template then investigate into your 'wordpress' bridge.

thanks for the reply. Just checked. You are right. The custom template has an issue. What can I do next? It's heavily customized. Where can I find someone to help me resolve the issue? Willing to pay for help... this is driving me nuts...

I would think your first course of action would be to contact whomever did the custom coding for you.

If that doesn't work you can always post a request in the Commercial Section of the Forum.

I did the custom coding myself by adding on the extra features. Guess I will just have to decipher the codes myself. But for someone to fix the code, how much do you think the going rate is?

All depends on the hourly rate a person charges and how much time it will take to correct. Going rates vary but you could be looking at $100.00 - $1,000... who knows.

Best to do yourself, since you did the custom coding and have a good idea where to look.

Okie. Thank you so far for your help. I will try to look into it the next couple of days. Most probably I will have to start a new one from scratch and compare the difference in code and work it from there. Sigh... Thanks again.

Try running that problem page through a validator. You'll see you have a couple of important DIVs withut any matching end tags. Most browsers can handle that sort of thing, but it could be the source of the problem.

There are many other minor problems with the code. You used a lot of <br> tags, but Zen Cart is XHTML based, for better or worse, and XHTML requires the form <br />. That won't cause your problem, I think, but the missing closing tags on major divs could do so.

    HTH
