Default Zen-Card pages widget-ready like at Wordpress?

I would like to build a food website using Zen Cart.
Some pages will be to introduce the company and in those pages I like to embed widgets like YouTube or Google calendar.

Are all pages at Zen Cart widget-ready like at Wordpress?

Are the right and left column of the Zen-Cart-driven website widget-ready? That means can I insert widgets in the boxes which are the right and left column of the website?

I have installed Zen Cart but now I have heard about Magento. Which one is easier to use? I am not familiar with shopping carts.

Zencart is not as easy to work with as WP, but it's pretty easy. And the forum is very helpful.

Magento is promising, but from the last time I used it (around August) it still lacks many functions a cart should have, you may want to check.

Magento doc, while looking very easy at first, can really drive you crazy (and I have worked with many php apps, including Zend and CakePHP).

    Anyhow, just check both options.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

Signing up on a Zen Cart website automatically allows the user to log in with the same username and password on the linked phpbb forum. Does it mean that when the user is logged into the Zen Cart website he is also logged into the forum and does the user who is logged into the Zen Cart website have to enter his log in data into the linked phpbb forum in order to be logged into the phpbb forum as well?

Besides Zen Cart and phpbb forum I also like to use Wordpress.
Is there a way to link the Zen Cart website not only with phpbb forum, but also with Wordpress blog so that when the user who is logged into my Zen Cart website is automatically logged into my Wordpress blog with the same login data?

    1. yes, seem like many people achieved that
    2. you can have blog content inside Zen, Im not sure about the login link tho, I think yu may have to code it (should be easy if you know your way around WP). But usually a blog is open to public so I guess not many people see the need for login etc.

A user who wants to write a comment on my blog needs to be registered with a username. By linking the sign up/log in procedure with my phpbb forum and with my Wordpress blog, I can make sure that the user has only one username and password. This is good for me and good for my registered users.
Is there a Wordpress plug-in or a Zen Cart plug in or a phpbb plug in to connect the sign in/log in procedure at Zen Cart or at phpbb with Wordpress?

Can anyone also answer my question whether Zen cart pages (and the boxes at the right and left column) are widget-ready like Wordpress pages?

You can add your own additional custom sideboxes which can be positioned in the right or left columns based on your own preferences. There are some addons that make the creation of your own sideboxes quite simple. The content can include code, images, links, widgets, flash, javascript ... whatever you choose.
