Default Re: How to move from subdomain to new domain on same server?

Assuming you will set up another account on that same server in order to handle the 2nd domain, treat it as a server move, and follow the FAQ instructions. It'll be a lot simpler that way, rather than trying to explain how to edit all your paths without knowing what you're changing "from" and "to".

    Hi,

I read the above suggested FAQ and what it is describing is this:

I have been building my ZC behind the scenes here:
    http://www.mysite1.com/shop/

I am nearly ready to go live with it here:
    http://www.mysite1.com/

And that's not what I am looking for. I am adding a new domain to my server and I want the new domain/directory to be the shop with ZC as the root while leaving my original domain in tact. In fact, now that I am thinking about it, maybe I'll just install a whole new ZC setup on the new domain instead of copying it over??? The members on my current shop are part of a group and can stay there and I'll just turn off registration (is that possible?) and then just make a new shop for the public. Is it possible to copy all of the customization from my first ZC and apply it to the new ZC?

I hope I didn't just seriously confuse this here...
