how do i move this image from here ? to here ?

Hi, just need a quick help with the following.

I have a banner type image i use for the main image when you click on a catagory.

but when you click on a sub catagory its the sub catagory picture that shows at the very top.

is there a way to display the banner image instead of the sub cat image without changing the sub cat picture.

You must have the banner as the image for the cat = halo
What Image did you specify for the cat = Series 3 Multiplayer

Hi Cobra,

I only set the images up from the admin side of things, the catagory images i put in just by editing through admin. i was guessing somewhere in the code you can change this to different images but i don't know where.

Obviously i can simply change the image in admin to the banner image but then when a buyer clicks on the main catagory they see all banners and not the images i want them to see.

Basiclly i want it so that the banner is always showing at the top instead of the image i selected for that catagory.

Change the image you select to the banner...

If the banner is what you want - - Why are you selecting any other image?

I know that bit however the problem is this.

When you click on a catagory, lets say 'Halo3' you go to a nice screen with a banner at the top and then all of the catagorys listed below it with a nice pic of each catagory.

But when you then click on one of those catagory's you get that image at the top followed by all of the other catagory images bellow it.

Its at this point i want the banner to stay at the top. If i change that paticular image then it also changes the image in that nice list of catagorys mentioned above.

The main catagory image is the banner, then you get the sub catagory images listed below it.

The picture zen cart uses for these sub catagory's is also the image it uses for the further sub catagory's listed after you click.

I'm asking if in the program somewhere you can change the path of the image so it displays the original main catagory image (the banner).

If you click the two links above you will see what i mean. You can't change the second image on the links above because it also changes the same image to a banner in other places.

nope, but anyone wanting to help please step in.

where do i find the file to change the image path at the top of a sub catagory, so that instead of displaying the sub catagory image at the top of the page it displays the main catagory image at the top of the page and also displays it in product description.

if you change the image in admin it just changes all of the images and not just the one at the top of the page.

here's the easy way and i DO feel dumb at this point.

you can't change your catagory image picture to a banner because if you do it changes all of those images to banners and you only want to change the image that appears at the top of the page.

create your banner image and save it into images (or where you prefer).

now simply go into admin, catalog, catogries/products..............and click on your catagory. from this new list click on the green action button on the right of the page with the letter 'e' on it.

now............you need to simply upload your image, but instead of where it is telling you to upload it at the bottom instead upload it into the text area.

you now have to disable the cataogry image that zen cart uses, the one that you still see at the bottom of this page, utherwise you will have 2 images.

admin, configuration, product listing..................at the bottom (about 3 up from the very bottom) click on 'include product listing sub catagories image' and set this to false.

done.

i thought there would have been an easier way with a line of code redirecting an image path but nobody seems to know, if you do please let me know as its a lot of images all the while.
