Default Site index not showing up

    Hello all,

This could go under more than one category, so I wasn't sure where to put it.

I installed the Multisite module and couldn't get it working correctly, so I uninstalled it, then uploaded the back up of the files that were changed (I backed up right before I installed the mod). However, now the site will not come up at all. The admin side is fine, it is just the storefront that is not showing.

Could someone give me some insight of how to fix this? Thanks!

Not familiar with the Multisite module but for you site index / home page, when having problems it can help to re-upload the Zen Cart 'index.php' file. It is also possible that in the re-uploading of backup files, some failed. Try re-uploading them again.

Thank you kindly for your response.

I tried re-uploading the index.php file and that did not work.

I had tried re-uploading the back up files before I posted but went back and double checked to make sure that they had actually written over the files on the server and still no dice

FTP uploads can fail for various reasons and is not that uncommon. When I 'think' there is an FTP upload problem then I delete the current file before uploading the replacement file, to remove any doubt.

Also, does the Multisite module do any changes to your database?

I didn't see anything that would change the database, but I did back that up as well...should I try restoring it?

I will try deleting the current files and uploading the back up on the regular files and see if that helps. I will check back to see your answer on the database :)

    Thank you!

If a Mod makes no changes to your database then no need to restore it.

Always good though to make frequent database backups... just because.

lol I back it up once a week, just because I am AR like that hehehe

Thank you so much! It is now fixed! I deleted and re-uploaded the index and all of the files that the mod changed and now it is working properly. You were right, apparently something got lost in the translation during ftp, even though it was showing that they had been overwritten.

    You rock!

thank you thank you thank you thank you
