    Default 404-not found message

I am getting a 404-not found message when I try to view my zencart on my browser and when I try to access my zen-cart admin page. How can I fix it?

    Not Found

The requested URL /cgi-php/phpwrapper/zen-cart/index.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at www.amnyperfumes.com Port 80

I checked zen-cart/index.php and the file is there. Permissions at 755.

    Please help. thanks!

Perhaps you've got your PATHS incorrectly defined in your configure.php files. Look there first.

How will I know what is incorrect in the file if I have not even touched them at all? I mean.... it is a scary thought to think that they can be altered by themselves or by third parties..

what specific text line should I be looking into.

    In www.amnyperfumes/zen-cart/admin/login/php
Gives me the 404-not found message:
The requested URL /cgi-php/phpwrapper/zen-cart/admin/login.php was not found on this server.

but then I look the file up and it is there.. plus I have not touched it.

This whole thing happened after in my stylesheet.css file I entered a new line: 'height' (it was not there before) under headerwrapper. When I refreshed my browser it worked fine but since the height was too small I decided to delete it and it was then when I got the 404-not found message...

    any help is greatly appreciated.

This is a very odd URL for your index.php file. How did it end up in /cgi-php/phpwrapper/ ???

You'll need someone a bit more clever than I am (see my pic, left) to help you figure this one out!

Don't ask me how but I just loooked at both:
    www.amnyperfumes.com/zen-cart AND
    www.amnyperfumes.com/zen-cart/admin/login.php

and they work fine! I did not touch anything... perhaps the Technical team of my server provider did something on their end since I had notified them of the problem also (in case it was server related).

Anyhow, for now it is fixed. thanks a lot though.. I truly appreciate your and everyone's help and all the questions I post.... =)
