scripting error with IE7-access denied to csshover.htc

Hi,

I set up and configured my site with IE7, but then I switched over to Firefox while I was putting in the text for my products, etc because I realized it was better. Now, when I go to my page with IE7, I get a scripting error that says access denied to includes/csshover.htc. This only happens with IE7, not with Firefox. Any ideas?

Check file permissions on your csshover.htc file

They were set at 644 so I changed them to 755 to see what would happen, and I still get the same error.

Hopefully someons who has access to IE7 will assist as I can not access the station with IE7 currently.

Problem confirmed but I question why you have the 'csshover.htc' in your 'includes' dir.???

Wouldn't it make more sense to put in your 'template' dir. or even at root level (yoursite.com/csshover.htc) ???

Also, you need to make sure permissions are 644, presuming your site is on a Linux Server.

to answer your question, I honestly have no idea why it is where it is. I don't even know what it does!

I have been the one mostly setting up the page with help from a guidebook, but I did not move this file. My brother-in-law has been helping with the design part, so perhaps he put it where it is now.

Where do you recommend it should go?

Also, my permissions are set at 644 for this file.

I had this problem, was not showing up in FF (which I was using to develop with).

Ended up that my site was set to mydomain.com in the configuration files rather than www.mydomain.com

If I loaded the page with www at the start, I got the scripting error. If I did not load it with the www at the start it was fine.

Ummed and ahhed about it and since I was redirecting from an existing page to the new store, I simply redirected to the site without the www

Might help, if not might provide someone with something to tyhink about :)
