    Hi there,

    The change was made a few weeks ago upon review of the setup, we noticed that with the latest version the handler had changed, when we upgraded we altered it at that time.

    I believe at 1.3.8 (ish) the handler went from main_ipn_handler to index.php?main_page=checkout_process

    Was this a mistake?

    Please advise.

    The IPN Notification URL is /ipn_main_handler.php ... and has been for all of the v1.3.x series.
    The index.php?main_page=checkout_process would be for the auto-return URL ... exactly as written in the wiki and in your Zen Cart admin paypal module instructions.

    Well...

    We've obviously made a mistake, but have corrected this now..

    Two links one close to the other and we copied the wrong one, must have been a rough day when we set this up.

    We'll keep an eye on this now.

    Here's an update of what is going on with my IPN problem. For a few weeks, I didn't work on this at all. I needed to take a step back to relax. Yesterday, I decided to make a "test" mysql database and install zen-cart. After config my IPN settings, I made a purchase with one of the demo products which the order showed up on admin - PERFECT!

    I know it's not my host server. I have a feeling that it could be one of the addons that I have. I took out wishlist, reward, and logo sidebox. I haven't found the source of the problem, yet. My customers still have to fillout the dollar amount at paypal. :

    Here is the rest of the addons that I have yet to try and take out:

    Yahoo! Product Submit Feeder
    Google Base Feeder
    Google XML Sitemap Admin
    Testimonials Manager
    Advertizer Manager
    Linkconnector
    Products with Attributes Stock
    Cross Sell
    Advanced Cross Sell
    Quick Updates
    Links Manager
    Tabbed Products Pro
    Easy Populate (Advance)

    At this moment, I have found a Paypal Sessions Viewer and installed that to my cart. At least that will help me with knowing what my customers has ordered without having to email them or vice versa. It's an easier way to find the orders instead of the long hard way by going into my database. Atleast I can move the order onto admin.

    Oh, I almost forgot. I have a wordpress blog installed.

    I could be wrong, but I wouldn't expect any of those addons to cause problems with PayPal IPN transactions, at least not based on what their intended purpose is. Maybe they have some parts to them which break something, but none of those would be my first guess. Maybe you've got some mod-rewrite rules in your non-working site that are breaking paypal things?

    I'd be more inclined to compare the IPN Debug Logs between the "working" site and the "non working" site, and see what the differences are. That might mean you need to do some more test transactions to collect comparison data.

    Or, a full file-comparison between the two sites might be in order?

    I have also received two random payments from PayPal but no equivelant accompanying order from ZenCart. When I look at the relevant customer's order history, there is no order. The order number sequence has not been broken. So, for example, yesterday I took 5 orders but have received 6 PayPal payments. The "missing" order was bang slap in the middle (ascertained by looking at the times of the payments). This has happened, infrequently, but on two other occasions. My solution was to refund from PayPal and to ask the customer to process their order again.
