BTW, I have always found them to be uncooperative as well.

If this is the case they they are NOT setup correct...

the only issue we have using shared ssl is when clients hard code things or use the non secure link for google analytics....

Matters not, because I have YET to see a shared SSL NOT throw some type of partial encryption or error.

Fact is... You need a proper private SSL not to scare IE customers away... Especially IE 6.X
