Use Different Image in Products Info

Is there a way to have a different picture shown on the product info. page?

When someone is on the homepage our featured products are shown. When they click on the image to go to the product info., is there a way to show a different image then what is seen on the Feature Products list?

So basically one image here, then when clicked on, a different image. :)

By default, Zen Cart uses a 3 image system:
base
medium
large

This is fully done by image name - - so you can create a different image for the medium & large if you want and just name it the same base image name as the small image(base)

I still haven't been able to figure out how to get a different image into my product description using the tutorial.

I've created an image called holiday.jpg that is in the main image directly, and then I created an image called holiday_01.jpg and uploaded it to the images/medium directory.

In Admin-->Categories/Products

I specify the holiday.jpg image and I was expecting it to show on the home page, which it does, but when I click on the image to be taken to the product description it does not change to the holiday_01.jpg image.

I'm clearly missing something... can someone tell me what?? Thank you.

Medium image is holiday_MED.jpg...images/medium folder
Large image is holiday_LRG.jpg..images/large folder
Additional images would be
holiday_01.jpg..images folder
holiday_02.jpg..images folder

I was able to get the different image to show up on the product info page.

gjh42, the website is at mycupcoffee.com. in the featured products, our holiday blend coffee is what I am working with.

For anyone else who wants to do this and like me doesn't fully understand what the tutorial is saying, and you want to have different images to show for your featured products, and product info. page, and larger image.

make images for your small, medium, and large photos. small images are whats in the featured products, medium is what is shown in the product info. page, and large is the enlarged photo.

for your featured product image your name would be image.jpg. medium image would be named image_MED.jpg, and of course large would be image_LRG.jpg

Upload those images to the correct directory. image.jpg would just go in /images. medium would go in images/medium, and large in images/large

And also be sure to set the image widths and heights in Admin to have it uniform.

Thanks guys, I'm building my first ZC for a client and that was stumping me too! icky.com/store (I think that it wasn't super clear which image to upload when adding a new product) Globie, great tip about the small image just being called image.jpg - I thought I was going nuts! (Judging by so many Zen Carts I've looked at out there with 100K+ size thumbnails, I think this is one of those things that a lot of folks aren't getting right)

The tutorial is very clear about which image to load where (though the reference to the /dvd/ folder is unnecessary and can confuse some people), but a whole lot never read the tutorial and have no idea about file sizes.
