Have you looked at the Tutorials/FAQs and the Wiki? (both linked at the top of all forum pages)

    Did you buy The Book?

Have you looked at the templates available in the Free Software Add Ons? (link at the top)

One thing to avoid - stay away from Template Monster templates, or at least search for that term and read all about them here on the forum.

The products already in there are probably the sample products that you can install when you install Zen Cart. They're there so you can see all the many things that can be done in Zen Cart. When you want to get rid of them you can either do a clean install -- which might be a good idea after you make some first steps at customizing, as you'll likely make a mess of it just like I did -- or you can search this forum for instructions on removing them.

    Jump in. The water's fine!

ok looking at the css etc in zen cart i am pretty confident i can alter the look of the thing the way i want...question is which files do i look for that alter the appearance of the thing and what i need to look out for.
Also in order to change the default images of the header and the zen logo etc on the main display should i just upload my images and replace the zen cart images with mine...as in overwriting the images files with mine? or how would you recommend doing that and which files are they?
