Default I totally forgot to check in IE while designing this...

...and now stuff isn't aligning right, breaking, gapping, etc. etc. etc. like I should have expected.

I changed some stuff around, but cannot get it to look as nicely as it does in FireFox. This is a business site, obviously, so IE needs to be able to see this (probably) more than any other browser.

I think it's because I don't have a full understanding of the 'cascading' in CSS, but I need to be out of here in an hour:fifteen and I'm off for two days, so I better get this done..

If anyone has any suggestions/comments/corrections, please don't be a stranger!

    Thanks,

    -Tim

I think you also didn't check the site in Firefox.

Just kidding; I'm sure you did. But I see the left-most image and description in the center content area extending out to the left of the round-cornered box it's supposed to be inside, by about 1 cm. In all the boxes.

In fact I'm seeing the same thing in Safari too. And that covers the top three rendering engines used in modern browsers. So I'd say you'd better not take 2 days off just yet.

o yea I took off padding-left off the content on purpose as part of debugging that's no issue. it's the freaking divs breaking in IE!!

aamof I'm turning those back on. Now that I'm home and on a Mac, I can only rely on screenshots.

but if I must take the caveman way out, so be it.

For checking sites I use Win XP running in Parallels Desktop on my Mac. If you go through the hoops necessary to install them, you can then check in IE 5.5, 6, 7 and eventually 8. And also in Firefox and Opera and even Safari under XP. Or run Vista if you like beating yourself up.

And then, when I've had my fill of XP -- which takes about 5 minutes -- I go back to my lovely iMac.

Have you fondled your Mac today?

By the way, I just checked your site in IE7 as well as FF 3.0.3 and it looks exactly the same in both. And it looks good -- except down where the table cell test starts.

I redid it and can't figure out why it works now, and not then.
    I hate when that happens...
