Adding Descriptions to Centerboxes

I've found some threads describing how to to add descriptions to Featured Products and Specials centerboxes. But I don't know where to put the code. Can someone please tell me in what part do you add the code to make it work?

And if I only want a short description in the centerbox description, is that possible?

I found this thread, but I can't get it to work.

Hi. I've looked at that over and over. Tried putting in the coding into my specials_index file but the description never shows up.

Post no 19 and 20 at above...follow that for featured centerbox descriptions...then apply similar to corresponding
specials file.../includes/modules/specials_index.php

I've read that over a million times it seems! And have tried every which way to input the code.

But it is not working.

Can someone please help or point me in another direction?? What am I missing????

You will need to alter certain code for specials.

Hi Misty. Wow, thank you!

Well, I tried copying that code and replacing all instances of "featured" with "specials" and it took away the products completely except for the Title of the centerbox. It just now says:

TABLE_HEADING_SPECIALS_PRODUCTS

and no products are in the centerbox.
