hotmail.com regecting emails

Hi there I have recently put up a new zencart and when one client tried to order a product the order confirmation email sent to her email address which is a hotmail.com account was rejected by hotmail.com and bounced back to the administrators email.

Any idea why? Is this a common problem with hotmail.com?

The user may have created the email address but because he /she is not using it for a long period (about 3 month)
the account of him may be deactivated by hotmail.

Check other email addresses.see if its working

Nothing to do with Zen Cart and everything to do with whatever Server the eMail was sent from.

In the bounce-back eMail you should have more information / suggestions on what can be done about the problem.

error message says 'Mail rejected by windows live hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics ot IP/domain reputation problems'. The domain name has only been up for about a month. The email would be the automated response issued by the Zen-Cart.

I think that it is bound to be at the hotmail end but I can't understand why it should be rejected.

Best talk to your Hoster and see if the IP used for your eMailing is blacklisted. They would also be better able to help with this problem than anyone else.

Unfortunately, if you're on a shared host, you sometimes pay the price for someone else's misbehavior. Rob is correct - talk to your host about this.

i used to have the same problem i used to get mail from hotmail.com but reccently stopped i looked over cbl and my IP was listed in blacklist i fixed the virus and things went OK the site to check your IP is
