Note the 3 images at the bottom of the home page I wondered If I coulde in clude those with another define_page? Or can I just use basic php includes to call them?

As for your slideshow, you need to put the .js files in the appropriate folder, and rename them to the appropriate naming convention, as described in the documentation links mentioned earlier.
