    Default Images in sidebox headers

I don't know what I'm doing wrong because I've done it on another site but for some reason I cannot get an image to show as the side box header.

I've followed the tutorial directions over and over and am still coming up with the same wrong result. What am I doing wrong? I'm about to throw my laptop out the window so any help would be MUCH appreciated!!

    Yes to both.

I've already changed the main header and I've tried using the other tut to change the sidebox headers and this is what I ended up with.

You've got so MANY "fun" things going on, it's hard to decide where to start.

First, where did you get the template and stylesheet? There are two stylesheets missing (3 if you're not using newer Zen) but, they are for printing and buttons. You have several (ahem) unusual calls throughout the css. Plus, your stylesheet is 500 lines longer than standard! The stylesheet uses mostly px versus em for sizes. I wonder if you have the override system set up correctly and whether or not you have the newest version of zencart?

One doesn't normally put images in as a background to an <h3>. Normally they'd put the image in the surrounding div as you're trying to do here.

Though you may think Trebuchet is the world's greatest font, unless you get all your customers to install the font, their carts will probably revert to something like Times or Verdana so why bother?

You can set up specific browser-related rules but adding mozilla colors to a border-color is not valid.

Pseudo-class calls like focus won't work with IE 6 or 7.

You've used "display: block;" for the navMainSearch in the stylesheet. You may think this "blocks" the display but, actually, "The element will be displayed as a block-level element, with a line break before and after the element." If you're trying not to have it show, turn it off in the admin menu under tools >> Layout Boxes Controller.

Remember that Zen tutorials are written with a non-modified, standard installation in mind. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the most standard, you'd come up around a 1.5.

It's hard to determine what is going to happen next with the current stylesheet. It looks like you've jumped on your horse and ridden madly off in all directions.

Lol...I knew it was screwed up but had no idea it was so bad!

I just used the Flowers template and have only added the header and turned of some of the sideboxes so I don't know how all of the things you've mentioned have even happened.

I've only modified existing stores in the past so I've obviously messed up the installation somehow. Maybe I'd be better off just completely starting over?

I'm not sure I'd trash everything. I would find a template using the Add Ons link above or from (sorry, site offline). Select one that mimics the layout you'd like to use and change the colors to match what you want. Then, use your existing header_bg.jpg.

Don't fall victim to Template Monster or their knock-offs. zencarttemplate.info (NOTE THE MISSING S) is just another example of how far some folks will go to rip off small business.

(sorry, site offline) IS where I got the Flowers template and have made very few modifications to it. Everything you mentioned above as being wonky in it came with the template, NOT something I have done. As I stated before, I changed the header and deleted some of the sideboxes in the Admin, that's all.

I will see if I can find someone else to help me with this. Thank you for your time.

You might try the Image Titles mod in Free Addons. It is built to do the image replacement automatically without manually changing every sidebox file.
