Default UK address format (6) incorrect?

Should address format 6 (used for the UK) output addresses in the following format?

    Alex Clarke
    123 Anyhouse
    Anytown
    SRY
    GU1 234
    United Kingdom
For some reason, the county/state code is appearing instead of the name.

In the example above SRY should read Surrey.

Not a problem I've ever seen on a UK cart. There must be something more specific about yours that is causing this. What mods / customisations / templates do you have?

    Hi kuroi,

Just had a thorght, I applied the world_zones_v2_7a SQL to my installation. This added thousands of states/counties to Zen Cart.

All of the United Kingdom zones were entered with a zone code (which I don't believe is used over here in the UK).

Now, Zen Cart must (by default) display the zone code in the address instead of the zone name.

So, when the addresses are built up everything is working as it should.

I'm guessing the solution is to change the zone codes to match the zone names for all zones within the UK.

I hope that all makes sense!

    Cheers,

    Alex

It does make sense. That SRY does sound like somebody's idea of a code for Surrey, rather than something programmatically derived from it.

Agreed. I'll change things now as stated above.

After double checking the original world_zones_v2_7a SQL I noticed that some zones codes are just the zone names (for other countries).

    Thanks for the reassurance.
