How can I have my site show a Favicon?

I just started working on this site (www.plustoofashion.com). I am wondering how I put a favicon image next to the URL.

I DID READ THE FAQS! It said to put the favicon.ico file in the root directory, or if you name it something else, to configure the name in your meta tags file. I did that (leaving the name alone). It didn't work. I saw in other forums people say the icon might be corrupt. It's a proper 16x16 ico file, and I can view it with no problem.

I tested this in FF3 and IE6. Nothing's working. I refreshed, opened the browser again, bookmarked the link... nothing.

Can anyone help me?

Forget about IE6...it may never show up no matter what you do. Only way is to bookmark it in IE6 and then it might show up.

Works in FF3 for me.

Why? I have no idea. This shouldn't be a "wait a few minutes" thing, but apparently it is. Thanks for noticing!
