Product options types

Hi I want to add an extra product options type. This should be a special dropdown menu and it could not get fixed by option name and value.

To tell you that I know that I talking about Product Options Type

this is the list that now can be used.
Dropdown
Text
Radio
Checkbox
File
Read only

I need an extra for dropdown not the default. And I DONT ask for a if or else function to default options.

Could you give a real world example of how you want to use this as it may already be built into Zen Cart and I am just not understanding for sure what it is you are trying to do with it ...

The codes in attribute.php are not perfect. It should be better with a clean code and not as now.
There is as i wrote this types: Dropdown, Text, Radio, Checkbox, File, Read only.

Now you have to jump up and down in the code to find what you looking for. A better way is to use the case function for each types in one place in code and not in different places. This gives more lines but that is not a problem.

Each types should use one case and then why use so many elses?
why not this types for an example:
Dropdown
Text
Radio
Checkbox
File
Read only
Image Dropdown <== This is what I missing.

and then why is not Dropdown built as a case and as default calling for that case?

I am New to PHP and it should take a time to change this page but if no one can help me only to add the extra dropdown function I start to change it by myself. PHP is not so diff. from ASP there I am a pro builder.

And all moded function for image dropdown is crap just now so you dont need to ask me to use them.

No one denies that the current coding is bad (mostly inherited from OSC)
Improvement to attributes is already planned for next version btw.

I dont know how pro you are, but your attitude doesnt say so.
It doesnt make people want to help you at all.

Sorry Yellow1912. That was not that attitude I had when I wrote that. I have a happy attitude to Zen Cart and this forum.

My reason to that it sounds like bad attitude is the language. English is not my everyday language and here it also techical.

I tried to keep it short and that maybe I should not do.

About pro builder Yes I am but this is not ASP and with only one months of build in PHP it is a little bit harder to clean up attribute.php page. Most of the other page in ZC is nice and clean.

If it come a new and clean attribute.php in next version, someone must have start up to clean it up? If so is it possible to take part of that changes?
