    application error defining constants

do I need to define all constants before the zen carts works?

i'm getting a lot of constant errors on my new install.
I have looked at the faq's and searched. I have the enable error logging but it doesn't report this type of error.

I don't see any problems with constants at your URL. Perhaps you have fixed the problem?

What are you using to upload your files? They are either not getting uploaded or being corrupted on upload.

Do you have the file type set to "auto"?

Smart FTP can be really bad about dropping files if the connection breaks - try FileZilla.

yes have it set to auto/ passive etc.

which is why I think I should just reload the enitre cart again. it may not be what seems to be obvious. I don't have any extra things going on and now I know how to customize it, it shouldn't take me five months to get it this far.

you guys are all wonderful, responsive and I don't want to take any more of your time.

I'll keep this thread posted after the fact, as this seems to have been the proper title.
