I cant create a category!

For some reason, in my admin panel, there is no option to create a category in Categories/Products. Here are the instructions from the tutorial:

"Login to your admin panel, point your cursor at Catalog in the top menu. Choose Categories/Products from the drop down menu.

On the next page click the new category button."

THERE IS NO NEW CATEGORY BUTTON!

Do you have products in your "top" category?

If so, you will not be able to create a new category / sub-category.

ZC does not allow categories AND products to exist at the same "level"

You will have to remove (probably delete) the products first, then you will have the ability to add categories / sub-categories.

You can "capture" your existing product info (to a degree) by using copy-and-paste, putting that data into a notepad file, for example. This may speed up the process of re-adding your products later.

It gets much easier with experience!

Quite a few people get into your situation by adding products into the "top" category level. (I'm curious as to why ZC does not alert users when/if they try to add products at this level, allowing them to go ahead if they want to, or stop and add some additional categories first...)
