removing rate type text from shipping method page

I want to eliminate the fieldset that's generating the "zone rates" text you can see in the picture below. How would I do that?

There has to be a way to do this. I just can't find where this is being generated from. I've looked everywhere I can think of.

I just had a brainstorm (or was it a brain-cramp? hmm...).

Since i'm using zones, and since I don't offer any alternatives to this, is it possible to bypass the shipping information page altogether and go directly from the customer info page to the payment info page?
