Remove the Congratulations! You have successfully installed... message

Hello! I was wondering how I would go about removing the message, "Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution" from my site?

Also, I was wondering how to remove the zencart logo? I was wondering if this was against the terms of use too.

The best way to edit php files is to use a text editor (notepad editplus, Notepade++, Crimson Editor etc -google for more..), and then upload files from your local computer to your server with an ftp program.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

You have a bit of a learning curve ahead of you as Zen Cart uses dynamic paging; meaning the actual page is not created till someone requests it. Although it may look like a static Web page, each page is made up of various files all pulled together to create the one.

This means you need to become familiar with working on files that include just part of a page. As already mentioned by George, the linked Tutorial states:

If you want to change "Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™; E-Commerce Solution" with your own text open the includes/languages/ENGLISH/index.php file and find the following code:

This means you find that file -- on your computer -- make the necessary changes then upload to your Hosting account.
