Product images disappeared from main (index) page

I don't know what I've done, but suddenly the images of products, including the "New Products for [Month]" and the right column images, have evaporated from my main page.

I was tinkering with banners, but I don't know how that might have changed things.

The images are still present in the images folder and still show up on the product pages with no problems. It is only the index page.

In case that you don't have new products listed, check in your admin area Configuration --> Maximum Values --> New Product Listing - Limited to ... if your settings are bellow the "cut off" date.

Try to increase that value.
