How many 10417 alert do you get everyday?

Hi,

I am using 2 paypal accounts on 2 websites selling 3 kinds of products online.
And I keep receiving 10417 alerts everyday. Like 7-8 alert emails a day from each paypal account.

And frequently, there were ppl come to us and tell us they have problem checking out.
As before ,when I was using standard paypal payment method, no clients reported similar issue.

So, I think this must be resolved.
I don't think that's just because client's card is invalid or lack fund.
PPl also said they can check on other site with same card successfully, but just failed on my site.

Does express checkout method really raise convert rate?

I am thinking of change back to standard payment way.

I am in China.
I called paypal technique team in China, they didn't even know there is kind of 10417 error code!!!

I searched paypal MTS.
The only answer about 10417 is mentioned in the post you provided.

And I searched http://www.pdncommunity.com
Ppl reports that they still get error after paypal declare that they have fixed the bug.

I am just curious that is it just I get such problem, or anyone else also get same problem and get many 10417 alerts?

Yes, it may confuse them. You only need one, not both.

Keep in mind that switching from one to the other is not likely to make any difference regarding getting 10417 errors. You may not get the emails about it, but if customers are being disallowed to complete payments because PayPal sees the transactions as insufficient funds, you'll just not hear about it, even if it's happening.

Just some clients told us they can make payments on other sites with same card or paypal account.
Some even have balance in paypal account but declined either.

Or is it good to have both google checkout and paypal express checkout?

When buyer can't complete payment with EC, they can use credit card to pay through google checkout.

What is your payment solutions? How many payment methods do you have?
