Quantity not deducted from inventory when it is not an attribute !

Hi All,

I have added the attribute to my site so someone can choose product colour.
The problem is if they don't choose a colour but just add quantity to cart, the product is not deleted from the inventory.
If they had chosen the colour then it is deducted from the inventory.

Is it possible to stop customers from adding to cart unless they choose a colour. You can see what i mean here : http://www.girlyessentials.com.au/in...roducts_id=100

Set this option name as a DROPDOWN rather than radio buttons.

Then add an option value called "Select a colour..." to the Option NAME "Colour". Give it a sort order LOWER than the actual colour option values -(black & n ude).

Next, in Attributes Controller for that product, apply the option VALUE "Select a colour..." to the product as well, and click the YELLOW "Display Only" selector button for it.

Update the SORT ORDER.

This will make that option value display FIRST in the resultant dropdown, and FORCE the user to make a colour selection before proceeding to checkout.
