    Default dropshipping shipping rates

    HI,
I have searched as much as i can, the forums and finally decided to register and post this question.

Ist things Ist, I have not yet downloaded zen cart for my dropshipping site which will sell herbal products.

now, I will set my shipping prices exactly as the parent company has set (as described below) without thinking much about what USPS, FedEx etc. stand for (i.e. i don't want live rates). If the customer wants the order tracking number, I will ask my parent company and let him/her know.

if it is possible, I'll go for ZEN.

Do help & Thanx in advance, although if i do go for ZEN, I feel I'll require help later on too.

One method would be to clone the Item Rate item shipping module and then build specific Zones for each one ...

Changing the language files would then read the way you want them to ...

    A search on:
    clone item

should help to get you started ...

    Some suggested names to use:

    itemusanormal
    itemusapriority

    itemcanadanormal
    itemcanadaexpedited

    etc. etc.

Have you tried these settings on the shipping module to see if that works for you?

Also, you might peek in the Free Software Add Ons and do a search on:
    Zone Table

as there is one that might make things easier for you to build your Tables and Zones for applying the rates ...

What might be easier for you is to go to the Free Software Add Ons and do a search on:
    zone table

and you should get a list from:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...ord=zone+table

One of these should be able to help you to set up several Zones with the Table Rates that you need ...

You can always play with formulas in excel. I am using drop shipping and my delivery charges were set for each product, but made no sence at all .. ie: one item that weighed 10 pounds could cost 9.99 for shipping, or 15.99 for the same weight on a different product. You would be surprised what you can do in excel to manipulate data to the way you want it to read...

Just an idea that I used
