New Products For (month) showing disabled products

I have my site setup where all the manufactures we sell are their parent catagory, then i import them into other catagories. when i view the catagory of a manufacture with 1000+ products, but i only have 10 enabled, in the new products for november center column shows new products for that manufacture. it shows disabled products as well... I have gone in through phpmyadmin to verify that the particular products are disabled in the products page. product status = 0

I do mass updates through excel and am wondering if that is what caused this problem? I have not noticed it doing this on the left column new products.

Are you using v1.3.8? There's a couple bugfixes that may deal with that: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...788#post483788
