Need Some help with transfer

I moved my zen-cart to a brand new server. I followed the information in the tuts https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100. Everything was trasnferred over and works great except, the customers and products didn't transfer. When I log into the new site on the admin, it doesn't show any of the information. Any help would be great.

How did you copy the database over? All the information for the products is contained in the database. It sounds as if you setup a new store without the sample products, and did not copy the old database over.

I set installed the the cart on the new server. They I transferred the files over, then importanted the old database. Just as the tut said.

Might you have looked at the tut on backing up the DB?
Are you certian that all the tables were backed up?
Was this just a straight move or was an upgrade also involved?

I will give that a shot again, but it looks like everything went in. The probelm with some of the table, I can not browse the fields.

I have had problems where the server has timed out when trying to execute the sql import file on larger databases. in these instances I have either ammended the export to not include some of the tables i didn't need like sessions , or split the file into 3 parts and do 3 imports on phpmyAdmin.

What is the table count on the donor DB
And what is the table count after you import to the new DB?
