    Default All Products lost!

    Hi, I'm a real newbie as I only got my site set up on Friday, I spent ages yesterday setting up products. All was well last night, this morning too, until I decided to test all the email links. I ordered a product, used the lost password link on log-in, received the new one and input it. Clicked on my basket, which still showed the product and got a message saying there was no product. Then I checked and found all my products had gone, from the site and from admin. Categories and subs are still there.

    Please help if you can! This was installed for me by a hosting company but I can't speak to them till tomorrow and I daren't add any more products until I understand what happened.

    PS I have searched the threads but I can't find exactly this problem anywhere, apologies if I have missed something

    If you go to your Control Panel for your domain and go to phpMyAdmin and look at the tables of the database, how many records do you have for the following tables:
    categories
    categories_description
    products
    products_description
    products_to_categories

    Thanks for replying. I cannot see any categories or products in that location. I notice that the only file that appears to have been modified yesterday - when I (thought I) set up the products - is the images file which does contain my product images. So it looks like nothing else was actually saved?

    I am not a techie so any help appreciated. Thanks

    If your database is empty in phpMyAdmin, I would check with your hosting provider to see if they know what might have happened to your data or if they have a backup ...
